Are you Afraid of being Sexy?

What's it like to live your life like there's no tomorrow? To fear nothing, not rejection or pain or humiliation? I don't know, my dears, I really don't... but today's blog is about just that. Being not afraid, being alive, being totes Sexy... I think ultimately, for a lot of us, we are afraid... not like of the dark or wigs (except I am) or Republicans winning next week... But fearful of accepting ourselves for the Awesome people we are and making the most of life as a result.

The concept of self-love (no, not like with Edward) is hard (like eggs), I won't lie. The concept of throwing all your hesitations out the window and being completely uninhibited is like crazy talk too. But I think it's a Sexy 08 necessity. Why let our fears rule us and our lives? Why let our Sexy suffer so much? Because the idea of "what if it goes wrong" is terrifying. Because someone might not want us back. Because sometimes there is someone waiting to laugh in our faces. But, um, so what. Now is the time to say stand up and shout "I'm Sexy as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" and let your confidence soar, like a pretty eagle on it's way to nurture its young (what?). Don't wake up one day regretting all the time you've let pass through your fingers. Live your life to its Sexiest.

A friend of mine passed away this past weekend. His name was Jon Dailey and he had Cystic Fibrosis and he was someone who knew had to make the most of life. He lived, loved, and laughed for every moment he could and his story is pretty inspirational. So I say in honor of Jon's memory and Awesome Sexy spirit (and smile), we all pledge to be our Sexiest. To jump off of life's scary towers and take plunges and profess feelings and go to NYC this weekend to see Bobby P all alone- because Jon would have because Jon understood life and Sexy are always worth the extra effort and that ultimately the only thing to fear, is not Sexy confidence... but rather fear itself (and maybe wigs and Republicans).

I'm going to go with irregular verbs because we are all a lil' bit irregular here and we are all totes Sexy. And because words like Lay and Drink (drunk) and Blow and Write are all irregular and they are ridunkously Sexy!!!
