Sixty is Not the End of Sexy: Martha Stewart & Joy Behar

There are two Sexy Sexagenarians who have brightened up my mornings recently and I wanted to honor them both today...and thank them for keeping my mornings Sexy.

Jersey girl Martha Stewart has been at the helm of the S.S. Good Taste seemingly forever. And each day she spends an hour teaching us new recipes, passing out decorating tips, and trying so so hard to be warm. As high brow as she is/can be though, she totally remembers where she came from. Martha's Sexy is totes a product of her Jersey pride and her total ownership of her ex-con status. She is not ashamed of having been to jail and is not afraid to remind her viewers. "When I was at Alderson," she will occasionally say...um how many celebs willingly reference even their misdemeanor pot arrest? Not many.

As Nicolle and I have said countless times, confidence, specifically an unflinching loyalty to oneself is one of the greatest contributors to Sexy. Martha Stewart knows exactly who she is and that's who shows up every day, on my TV, challenging me to get out of poverty, decorate my apartment, host a dinner party, start an herb garden, taste different types of cheese, find a use for all of the parts of the pumpkin, learn to sew, create amazing centerpieces, properly groom my gorgeous cat Gwendolen, give hot dogs another chance, and of course become successful enough to be on her show. I love you Martha!!! Tramps like us, baby!!!

So I was all prepared to give you all a break on the political rhetoric, but my current employment situation has me in a position to watch The View every day. Those ladies are really on edge of late, and I completely relate: it's kind of a crazy time what with the election and all. I have never really enjoyed this program. I think the old bat Babs Walters needs to retire from public view; at the very least she needs to stop opening her useless mouth. For many years, this program was an entertainment show trying to pass itself off as journalism, especially with old Babs and the sometime journalist Meredith Viera (sp?) at the helm. Now that Whoopi is in charge, The View has become decidedly entertainment, but its "Hot Topics" segment has been ferociously political.

Sexy Sexagenarian co-host Joy Behar is a woman who brazenly shares my liberal values and who is not afraid to unleash them on the world. Former Survivor contestant, Biddy Hasselbeck has become a frighteningly deranged mouthpiece of the right, and the Sexy Joy Behar does not give her an inch. I have been watching for a few weeks now, and literally every day, these two are at each other's throats during "Hot Topics." Behar loves to call out the GOP and Ms. Hasselbeck every chance she gets. Her treatment of Old Man McCain during his recent appearance was delicious. Whereas "journalists" often turn into sycophantic, sniveling p*ssies when faced with a major interview, Joy Behar lets her Sexy opinions out to play. Thanks for making my mornings Sexy and exciting.

Answer to Nicolle's question:
The Sexiest Rihanna song is Umbrella mostly because she looks so "hot" in the video. I put "hot" in quotation marks so that you would know that I do not desire Rihanna sexually but do in fact recognize that she is very attractive, particularly in a corset, ballet slippers, and silver and gold body paint. Sometimes men use the word hot and it gives people the wrong impression about their sexuality. Let's make an effort to use quotation mark, when possible.

Question for Nicolle:
With an eye on an even Sexier '09, what Sexy hobby would you like to take up?
